Art Linkletter died this week at 97 years old, leaving behind his wife of 74 years. I take this as proof that laughter may well be the best medicine.
Linkletter loved to laugh, and to make us laugh too. His favorite sources of humor were children. Kids say the darndest things, you know.
RIP, Art.

A true legend in his time! We should be so lucky to live to that ripe old age. Yes, laughter is the best medicine...;)
ReplyDeleteWow. Your 55 post is excellent. And yes, Art Linkletter's show was hysterical
ReplyDeleteThank you< everyone, for your visit and comments! I really appreciate it. Keep that twinkle!
ReplyDeleteI was a little kid in the 1960s, wondering naively why no one from my school (in Massachusetts) was ever picked for the "Kids Say the Darndest Things" segments on his show (which was broadcast from California)! I have six or seven books by him -- including his autobiography -- in my collection. A lot of great stuff from Art...
ReplyDeleteVery nice tribute post! And thanks for checking out my Flash 55!
What a great tribute. I remember we had his show here in New Zealand for a short time many years ago, and it was hilarious.
