Ah, but it might.
This year, 207,090 women (and 1,970 men) will learn they have breast cancer. 3,000,000 women already have breast cancer, and 1/3rd of them don’t know it.
Fight back. Be aware!

I know this is a far more serious post than my usual entry for Sunday 160, hosted by Monkey Man. But this is a serious issue, one that’s close to my heart. Visit my post here to learn why.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
It is still appropriate for Sunday 160, for the message is important and it is breast awareness month,

Happy Sunday, Patti :)
We never think the *bad* things will happen to us, even after some do - what's up with that?
ReplyDeleteNice 160.
Joanny, Katherine & Dulce: Important indeed. Spread the word. We can stop this.
ReplyDeleteBrian; Me too, my friend, me too.
gospelwriter: Denial is a powerful thing. Sadly, sometimes it can kill you.
Great message. Cancer can be detected early and it is up to us to get that done. Great 160. Thanks for playing.
ReplyDeleteyou are right - it is a serious issue - great message patti!
ReplyDeleteYou're scaring me.
ReplyDeleteMM & Claudia: Yes, it is, and yes, we can! And we will.
ReplyDeleteAlice: Hate to say it, but that's not a bad thing. It's only by knowing it can happen to us that we can save our lives.
Bravo to you for getting the message out there!

Victoria: Thank you! And thanks for your visit. Come again!
ReplyDeleteI personally know several friends and loved ones who have undergone breast cancer surgery recently or are facing it soon. Lots of awareness brings lots of prayers and action. Good 160.

A friend of mine recently saw a bumper-sticker that read: SAVE THE TA-TAs!
ReplyDeleteGood idea.
Of course it had that lovely pink ribbon beside it, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent use of 160 spaces...well done, Patti :)
