face lifts to the sun
while back turns against chill winds
this is springtime, right?

  1. Atleast there are chill winds there. It seems like it's bang in the middle of summer over here. Blasted hot!

  5. Here, we are only days away from the last snowfall. But the sun has been struggling to make an appearance in the afternoon and then we get all hopeful. Have all the groundhogs gone to sleep?????

  6. Love this haiku with the picture to match - or the other way around. Both are excellent. Thank you.

  8. This describes my spring perfectly. I am loving the sun but am ready to get rid of the sweatshirts, turtlenecks, and sweaters.

  10. Love the vintage poster. That is awesome. I could write your haiku in reverse. We are in Autumn now but the weather is warm and it feels more like spring. I woke up the other day to a sunny morning and for a moment thought I was in the Northern Hemisphere. It is very odd...
