Friday Flash 55: Reincarnation?

Of course, I believe in reincarnation.

I remember it all like it was yesterday.  There I was, minding my own business like any proper pumpkin and doing my bit for the autumn color show, when along came that bratty Billy Bishop with a big honkin’ knife…

Don’t his parents know kids shouldn’t play with knives?

This is my offering for Friday Flash 55, hosted by that charming rogue G-Man here

  7. I love it! Looks like Billy had a blow torch and some extra steel.
What is/was that? 1940 coupe modified? At first I thought Studebaker but the nose looks slightly upturned for that and I don't recognize those back fins. Where in the world did you find this picture? It's fantastic. Thanks for this lovely pumpkiny 55!

  11. Amazing car photo. where on earth???

At first I thought it might be some crazy Citroen model - but then I saw three wheels and I thought "Aha!! Buckminster Fuller built a three wheeled car. Maybe ..." but then no, his car looked like a hanging water balloon.

    Excellent 55, by the way.

  15. Terrific. Can that car REALLY be a pumpkin? You are so talented. I know you didn't do the pumpkin ( or did you? ) but your writing is always wonderful.

  19. Thanks for your visits, my friends. I'm pleased that you liked my little story of rein-CAR-nation.

I e-mailed those who asked specifically, but if the rest of you are wondering, the car is a 1937 Airomobile. There's lots of cool pictures of it on the web. I thought it was just so cute.

  20. What a cool theme this one is!

My cousin had a car like that in the 1970s. Begged his Dad to get him a car when he was a teen. So his Dad got him a 1957 Chevy and painted it international orange! Everyone in town knew where he was going. ;)
