Crack the shell of uncertainty,
and peer into the future for answers.
Likely you’ll find none. Besides,
everyone else is still guessing
And most best guesses are wrong.
So, go ahead, take your best shot.
Predict tomorrow, then fuhgedaboutit,
and live your best life today.

ReplyDeleteexcellent advice, PattiKen, and in good poetic form... it's how I try (and don't always succeed) to live
ReplyDeleteGood one! I love cracking into a fortune cookie to see into my future...always fun. But I agree with the philosophy expressed Soprano style in this very entertaining poem.
ReplyDeleteHa...most fortune cookies I break into don't even have fortunes - just silly sayings or pseudo words of wisdom. Never a real fortune.
ReplyDeleteHad a cat named Fortune Cookie once. She was fantastic. Loved her loved her loved her.
I believe them if I like what I am reading, why not. And today is the best, a nice reminder ~
ReplyDeletegood advice. fun read.

ReplyDeleteLove it - predict the future, forget about it, and live today.
ReplyDeleteI'll meet you at the Poets Pub, Patti! Wise words- live your best life now. It's all we've got. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

best fortune cookie ever!
ReplyDeletefuhgedaboutit - lol , I love that!
ReplyDeleteI never get a fortune from one of those cookies...every time I open one, it just gives me a fact of life...but that's okay, I'd rather keep my future a mystery and live for today-just like your poem says! :)
