lured by treats to Hell’s back door
old before their time

"Be obscure clearly." ~E.B. White
This is powerful. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteso much said in so few words! I'm not sure if I could stomach watching that...
ReplyDeleteWonderful haiku, but extremely creepy video. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteoh man...too many
ReplyDeleteEw, ick Patti. Your words...
ReplyDeletea good accompaniment to a bad blight on society
There are few things I can contemplate that piss me off more than the subject referred to here. Your Haiku is great - but it still won't save any of those bastards I ever get my hands on.
ReplyDeletePatti
ReplyDeletethis needs to be said for the children who grow old before their time
thanks for the convicting One Shot
Have a great Thanksgiving
Love from the Moon
Powerful and poignant, and sad too!
ReplyDeleteJust a teensy enticement could lead to the end of childhood! Alas, this happens all too frequently, I suppose..
Makes me shudder at the very thought! I mean, here we are, all snug and comfy in the shelter of our homes.. and there they are, alone and trapped! :(
Excellent Haiku, powerful video - Bravo!
ReplyDeleteHumanity how so love yet the same with so much hate
ReplyDeletephew....that was powerful, disturbing, sickening and sad.....thanks for bringing this to peoples attention..cheers pete
ReplyDeleteStrong haiku patti..but the video ..just too disturbing,i know it should be taken care of..man..i feel very sad now!
ReplyDeleteAn excellent use of Haiku, yet so sad that it can even be written because it's all too common. Well done, My Friend.
ReplyDeleteoh patti - thanks so much for adressing this topic!
ReplyDeleteThank you for summing up twelve years worth of church for me in just three lines. Excellent work.
ReplyDeleteHarrowing video and great haiku. Thank you, Patti
ReplyDeletePatti, your One Shot was like a haiku promo for that creepy movie, which looks like an evil version of the Willy Wonka tale.
ReplyDeleteWhen abuse begins, childhood ends. The video was as creepy but not as much as the reality it portrays.
ReplyDeletePowerful Haiku and movie...November, including Thanksgiving, was forever stolen from me because I was one who grew old before my time. Thank you for awakening those who do not know.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in it's ugliness.
Thank you for visiting, Everyone. If I was able to reply to you via e-mail, I have done that. If not, please know that I really appreciate your visits and comments.
ReplyDeleteAnd, tolbert, I'm so sorry you were one of these sad children. my heart goes out to you and all the rest.
For all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you do it up in style and have a great day. If you don't, I hope you have a great day too, but sorry, no turkey. :-(
And, as for me, I am thankful for all of you. (and I will toast you with a drumstick.)
Very beautiful... Its so interesting .. I liked it...

Disturbing, but true.Bring s so much pain and sadness to me,moreover since I joined the blogger world and met beautiful people who were turned old before their time.
ReplyDeleteI've wrote a piece about it,drove me in tears but more than sadness there was deep rage for those monsters who were disguised as humans.
Great write ,Patti! And I hoep you had a great Thanksgiving.
Shashi & June B: Thank you for visiting my post on this important subject. So many kids are hurt by human trafficking. It's something we can stop in our lifetimes, and the more people who know and are outraged, the better our chances are of doing that.
