Fortune Cookie

Crack the shell of uncertainty,
and peer into the future for answers.
Likely you’ll find none. Besides,
everyone else is still guessing

And most best guesses are wrong.
So, go ahead, take your best shot.
Predict tomorrow, then fuhgedaboutit,
and live your best life today.

I'm bellying up to the bar at dVerse Pub tonight with some of my good blogging buddies. So, set 'em up, Joe. Writing is never a lonely business here.

  5. Good one! I love cracking into a fortune cookie to see into my future...always fun. But I agree with the philosophy expressed Soprano style in this very entertaining poem.

  6. Ha...most fortune cookies I break into don't even have fortunes - just silly sayings or pseudo words of wisdom. Never a real fortune.

Had a cat named Fortune Cookie once. She was fantastic. Loved her loved her loved her.

  13. I never get a fortune from one of those cookies...every time I open one, it just gives me a fact of life...but that's okay, I'd rather keep my future a mystery and live for today-just like your poem says! :)
