Self-Portrait

big feet, big butt,
bigger mouth,
that's what he said.
that's OK, I told him.
I've got a good under-
standing, a well-seated
position, and the ability
to make my opinion heard.

  1. I like your self portrait ~

Those things don't matter when we make our voice loud and firm ~

  7. Others can grace our assets and appreciate! But one knows exactly about oneself. That is important. Nicely Patti!

  8. Oh I love how you turned his projection around. That is the only proper response when people try to bully us into feeling bad about ourselves. Wonderful!

  13. I love this. Maybe we are kindred spirits - the same might be said of me (my voice "carries" they say), but I don't think I'm clever enough to have said it this expertly or as condensed. Kudos on a fine, poetic summation!

  18. Based on childhood obesity statistics, the First Lady has very high concerns for childhood obesity in America. If you read the newspapers, you may have seen the headline "Michelle Obama Says: Childhood Obesity a National Security Threat." This has led to much concern for childhood obesity prevention. Negative calorie foods are not new and have been discussed in weight loss circles for years. Let me say this in a little different way. The most significant result of this intervention is the self respect, the self value, the self esteem, the dignity, resilience, resourcefulness, and the independence that an OPYOW intervention cultivates and protects. These qualities are naturally built into the human psyche or else wed never learn all the things we learn long before being subjected to formal education. Random Tip: Weight loss helps in erectile dysfunction and hence enhances your sex life as per a recent research. So you have one more reason to lose weight.
